absentminded

Two days back, i travelled to Damascus-Syria. It was a one day business trip that fortunately culminated in a good contract with the European Union for an e-services project. As i mentioned several times in previous post, i have a great tendency of forgetting things when i travel. Since this trip to Syria was a one day trip where i returned to Amman on the same day, there was no packing involved and therefore, the chances of me forgetting things should practically diminish substantially and theoretically converge to zero. Well, that was not the case, i failed to make this trip an exception,,, What in the world can i forget!! You cannot not possibly guess. I forgot my PASSPORT. I did not bring my passport with me, What was i thinking? I am crossing the borders for God's sake? A passport is not a shaving machine nor a tie that you can forget and buy from duty free. There was only one way out, I turned back and headed home while enjoying the the BMW 525i drive and went back to the borders after wasting unnecessary One and a half hour. Actually, I remembered that i did not have my passport before reaching the borders, at least saving myself from being publicly ridiculed, the scandal was limited to my friend Jaffar who was with me in the Car.
B12,Premature aging syndrome, Alzheimer or whatever you want to call, it definitely is getting serious.

;-) may be u r disrtacted or more concerned about that contract even I found it hard to believe that someone travels without a passport, especially a frequent traveller like u, but it happens :))
