Oprah Winfrey is planning to travel to Israel for a solidarity visit...to see the threats faced by Israel! Our petition is that she be fair, seek truth and justice by also visiting the occupied territories in Palestine to see for herself who are the ones truly facing threats.
Take a few minutes to forward to as many people as you know!!!!!!!!

weather again
the hot weather system i talked about last week is supposed to have started today. It was not that hot (around 32-33) in western side of Amman. However, tomorrow the temperature should reach something around 37 and should peak to around 38-39 on Sunday. This is not as bad as i thought i would be, nor as bad as published in Jordanian Newspapers.
temperatures shall start droping gradually before retunring to normal by the end of the week. I am going to Aqaba on Tuesday, i guess it is going to be hot anyway!

Expect very hot not weather next week
5-10 days weather forecast indicates the possibility of bad heat wave to prevail over Jordan starting Friday 22 June. Temperature will start increasing on Wednesday. I hope i am wrong, but there are indications that temperature may reach 43 C on Sunday.
I hope things change and move the heat system away.

ETL
ETL is the process of Extraction, Transformation, and loading. In fact, it is a fundamental phase in creating and maintaining Operational Data Stores (ODS), data marts, and data warehouses.
There are tools in the market that help in executing this phase, like Informatica and Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB). Sometimes, and for noncomplex ETL tasks, one might choose to run the run SQL script manually.
Whether this is done for the above-mentioned objective or any other objective, ETL could potentially be a time-consuming process especially when the data being loaded is not clean.
Foreign key violation, Primary key violation, missing data, invalid data etc.
When you run SQL script against Oracle database, any of the above violations cause the termination of the script and the rollback of the entire statement. The part that is frustrating is that the Rollback process can talk really long time to complete and undo the changes. You are expected to wait for the rollback to complete, then fix the problem and run again. This time the statement could fail for another violation and you are again expected to repeat the cycle. If you are working with small data sizes, this could be tolerable, but when you are loading millions of records, this could really have an adverse effect on the project.
Oracle 10g Rel 2 offers a new feature that allows you to continue loading your data (albeit of the errors) while keeping the violating rows in a separate ERROR LOG table. This gives you the chance to only examine the violating rows while not having to repeat the same cycle with every error
The following two statement are needed
dbms_errlog.create_error_log('REALSOFT','ERROR_LOG_REALSOFT') ;
ERROR_LOG_REALSOFT REJECT LIMIT UNLIMITED;
I have included an exhaustive and simple example

cha cha
It is a sharp detour from the realm of my current interests. I am actually taking dancing classes! me my wife and two other couples started today taking Waltz and Cha Cha. The first class was not easy. Let see what will happen with this respect in the days to come. In order not to contradict my own point of views, let me call this event as an act of civilization , or history about cultures - a hands on approach! In other words, no need to spread the word and say,, hey hey, we are dancing.. Hamas hitting Fateh, Blast in Beirut, big explosion in Samera - Iraq while me dancing,, does not sound very good.

absentminded
Two days back, i travelled to Damascus-Syria. It was a one day business trip that fortunately culminated in a good contract with the European Union for an e-services project. As i mentioned several times in previous post, i have a great tendency of forgetting things when i travel. Since this trip to Syria was a one day trip where i returned to Amman on the same day, there was no packing involved and therefore, the chances of me forgetting things should practically diminish substantially and theoretically converge to zero. Well, that was not the case, i failed to make this trip an exception,,, What in the world can i forget!! You cannot not possibly guess. I forgot my PASSPORT. I did not bring my passport with me, What was i thinking? I am crossing the borders for God's sake? A passport is not a shaving machine nor a tie that you can forget and buy from duty free. There was only one way out, I turned back and headed home while enjoying the the BMW 525i drive and went back to the borders after wasting unnecessary One and a half hour. Actually, I remembered that i did not have my passport before reaching the borders, at least saving myself from being publicly ridiculed, the scandal was limited to my friend Jaffar who was with me in the Car.

Body cleansing - Last day
Last night, i did break juice fasting after completing 4 days. I wanted to do 5 days this time, however, we were invited over for dinner and it would not look nice for me to abstain from eating. Too many question would then be asked and a lot of explanation would need to be done!
Yesterday (Friday), i felt light-headed in the morning, i felt some dizziness. However, i was still full of energy, i even went to the office and worked on pieces of software codes that requires concentration. Normally, I take the opportunity on Friday and eat massively at lunch and henceforth, i regularly feel tiered and sleepy afterwords. Yesterday was obviously different, i did get some work done in the afternoon, I went to bet after 1 AM, and made it up at 7 AM.
