Well, it depends on the significance of the issues to you.
Actually, with self training, you can. I've finally achieved that after years of consciously wanting to adjust that in myself. Only this year have I realized that I can just snap out of it. It's the conversation you allow yourself to have in your head for those couple of seconds. Last week smtg happened, and normally I would've just gotten so miserable about it and let it ruin my day/week, and I started to fall into that downward spiral, when bam! I remembered to snap out of it and that in the wider scheme of things, it's nothing. I found something more challenging and reward to keep my mind restless.
